Communities on the Road to the EU: In Search of Connections between HEIs and Society

On October 5-6, 2026 the UESA President Oksana Holovko-Havrysheva participated at the international conference “Local Communities on the Path to the EU: Capacity, Resources, and Human Rights” took place on October 5–6, 2026, in Lviv. Being organized by the Lviv Bureau for European Integration in collaboration with partners, the event brought together more than 100 representatives of local communities from various regions of Ukraine, international experts, and municipal partners. Particular attention during the conference was devoted to the interaction between universities and society, especially the local communities. Hence the universities through their research and expertise have huge potential to contribute to the solution of societal challenges.
