EMBRACE Peer Learning Session on Gender Equality

On December 18, 2024, the EMBRACE Peer Learning Session on Gender Equality took place online. Petra Debusscher (Ghent University) presented the EU gender equality tools used within its foreign policy and how the EU uses them to support democracy in neighboring countries. Particular attention was directed to women's empowerment as one of the essential factors for democracy support in the EU neighborhood. Oksana Holovko-Havrysheva, the UESA president, highlighted the gender policy developments in Ukraine.
