Lviv Academic Bridge 2026: Ukraine–U.S. Science&Education Forum
NEWS

On June 11–12, 2026, Maryna Lytvyn, an UESA borad member, participated in the Lviv Academic Bridge 2026: Ukraine–U.S. Science & Education Forum, held at Lviv Polytechnic National University and organized in partnership with the Global Coalition for Ukrainian Studies. Maryna Lytvyn shared the results of the UNICOM project “University–Communities: Strengthening Cooperation.”
The forum served as a meeting place for Ukrainian and American universities, scholars, diaspora and civil society organizations, government officials, and innovators. During the forum, participants discussed equitable partnerships and the joint creation of knowledge; Ukraine as a reliable partner in R&D—“friend-shoring” in science; the professional diaspora as a circulation of talent rather than a one-way brain drain; and universities as drivers of reconstruction and reverse innovation—solutions tested under pressure that can also benefit more stable systems. The Forum culminated in the adoption of the Lviv Action Note—a dynamic agenda outlining priority areas and specific next steps. This document will now be distributed among partner ministries, universities, and networks.
