From April 25 - to 27, 2025, the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv team took part in the prestigious international competition on EU law—the Central and Eastern Europe Moot Competition (https://ceemc.co.uk/ceemc-2025-warsaw/), which was held in Warsaw and co-hosted by the Faculty of Law & Administration (Warsaw University) and the Supreme Administrative Court of Poland.

The team consisting of Tetiana Zhelekhovska, Anastasia Myglias (3rd year, Faculty of International Relations), and Diana Onishchak (4th year, Faculty of International) presented the legal position of the parties in a mock trial before a hypothetical international tribunal, which addressed iissues in international and European law. Thanks to the support of the team coaches Stepan Burak (assistant professor of the European Law Department) and Prof. Mykhailo Mykyievych (head of the European Law Department) the team developed and presented arguments on a complex case involving the effective remedies for protection of individual rights under the national law. Diana Onishchak received a special award in the individual competition and was awarded the title of “Noted Speaker,” which is a testament to her brilliant performance and high level of skill in court debates.

The team's participation took place within the realization of the ERASMUS+ project "MODERNIZATION OF LEGAL EDUCATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF EUROPEAN AND EURO-ATLANTIC INTEGRATION OF UKRAINE" (GA Grant Agreement – 101129068) and was co-funded by the European Union as part of the efforts of modernizing teaching of the EU Law at Ukrainian HEIs and supported by the Ukrainian European Studies Association. The team is grateful for the financial and organisational support to the British Law Center.
