On June 10-11, 2024, Roman Petrov, the UESA Honorary President and the academic coordinator of the HORIZON EUROPE PROJECT No. 101132314 "Re-engaging with neighbours in a state of war and geopolitical tensions" (RE-ENGAGE), participated in the project workshop in Tirana (Albania). The workshop in Tirana united the representatives of all consortium members and focused on preparing the project members for the forthcoming fieldwork in their respective countries. In particular, the following issues were discussed: data management and ethics, dissemination and exploitation, interview design, and outlines for the country papers. The hypothesis and key scientific concepts were examined and tested by the project members, including particularities of three Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Serbia) and three in the Eastern Neighbourhood (Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine), where the fieldwork is planned. The event in Tirana was very useful and a rich preparation for the forthcoming fieldwork.
