The ReEngage Project Moves to the Final Stage of Research in Ukraine
NEWSRE-ENGAGE 2024

The RE-ENGAGE project, dedicated to studying public attitudes and democratic resilience, is continuing its implementation and entering the final phase of its empirical stage in Ukraine.
In April 2026, the project team completed key fieldwork activities. In particular, on April 23, we held a focus group meeting, which allowed us to deepen our understanding of respondents’ assessments of political processes, institutions, and international actors.
In addition, this week we met with participants of the fieldwork phase of the study—those who contributed to data collection in autumn 2025. The empirical basis of the research is substantial: 10 researchers conducted approximately 600 interviews with residents of Kyiv. Each interview lasted over 20 minutes and covered a wide range of topics, including levels of trust in public institutions, evaluations of political actors, attitudes toward international partners, as well as media consumption and broader public sentiments.
The project is now moving to the next phase—processing and analyzing the collected data, as well as preparing final analytical reports on Ukraine. The findings will serve as a foundation for further academic publications and analytical outputs within the RE-ENGAGE project.
