Training Visit to the University of Latvia

On 25th – 28th March 2024 the Board Member of Ukrainian Association of European Studies (UESA) Maryna Lytvyn and the President of UESA Oksana Holovko-Havrysheva took part in the Workshop/Training Seminar "Sustainable economic growth and third mission implementation in HEIs" at Latvian University as part of the "Universities-Communities: strengthening cooperation"- Erasmus+ project (UNICOM). University third mission and economic growth, business development potential, collaboration with social partners, lifelong and continuing education, sustainable development of universities and communities were considered and discussed. Maryna Lytvyn has presented the results of survey «Researching the activities of German and Ukrainian Universities in achieving SDGs» at the UL 82nd International Scientific Conference of the Latvian University in the special session «Resilient universities and resilient communities». Oksana Holovko-Havrysheva has presented «Lessons Learned from the Research of the Third Mission of Ukrainian Universities during the Wartime: A concise UNICOM Project Research Layout» with the particular attention on the challenges for the thrid mission implementation in Ukraine. The Erasmus+ project UNICOM, which is being implemented as part of a consortium of universities from Ukraine, Latvia, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Sweden, is important for post-war recovery and community development.
