VII Winter School in European Studies

From February 17, 2025, to February 21, 2024, the VII Winter School in European Studies took place online. More than 45 attendees from all parts of Ukraine attended the event, which focused on the legal and political aspects of the European integration processes. Particular attention was devoted to the current state of the cooperation between the European Union and Ukraine and the legal and political dimensions of the accession. The event was organized in collaboration with the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy", the EU Information Center of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, the Law School of Lviv University and the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence "Western Ukrainian Research Center for European Studies". While opening the VII Winter School in European Studies, UESA President Dr. Oksana Holovko-Havrysheva stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with the EU in times of uncertainties and disturbances. The EU4UA project coordinator, Prof. Olena Boryslavska pointed out the importance of legal education for building effective cooperation between the EU and Ukraine; UESA Honorable President Roman Petrov addressed the contemporary challenges and tensions for the European integration and presented the UESA experiences in researching the EU democracy support practices within the Horizon Project EMBRACE and European Neighbourhood Policy within the Horizon project RE-ENGAGE.
The event was conducted in cooperation with the Erasmus+ project "EU4UA» - "MODERNIZATION OF LEGAL EDUCATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF EUROPEAN AND EURO-ATLANTIC INTEGRATION OF UKRAINE" (GA Grant Agreement – 101129068).
