XI UESA Congress
EXPERTS IN EUROPEAN STUDIES DISCUSSED IMPACT OF EUROPEAN COMMON VALUES ON TRANSFORMATION OF INTERNAL CONFLICTS IN UKRAINE IN KHARKIV
Delegates from over twenty Ukrainian European Studies Association’s regional groups met on 20-21 October 2017 at Karazin Kharkiv National University and Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics at the XIth UESA Congress. With Jean Monnet program and European Parliament support, the XIth UESA Congress hosted diplomats, professors and scholars, leading foreign and Ukrainian researchers in the field of European and Conflict Transformation Studies.
Every year all Ukrainian non-profit organisation «Ukrainian European Studies Association» brings together representatives from 20 regions of Ukraine. During the XIth Congress members of the UESA and leading Ukrainian and international experts discussed the subject «Respect of European Common Values as a Basis for Resolution and Transformation of Conflicts in Ukraine», as well as current and perspective UESA projects, best teaching and research practices in the field of European Studies in Ukraine and beyond. Annual UESA Congress focuses on experience and results of scientific and research projects in the framework of EU Horizon 2020 programme with involvement of Ukrainian universities and scientists. On 20 October 2017 Karazin Kharkiv National University hosted café debate on results of international research project «Horizon 2020» EUNPACK (role of the EU in prevention and transformation of conflicts in Ukraine and third countries). The XIth Congress of the UESA also focused on the improvement of UESA internal and external communications, exchange of teaching and research experience in the field of European Studies including strengthening working contacts between professionals in European integration, public authorities and donor organisations.
